Jack Black - Jack Black Drops Comedy Movie

Jack Black has pulled out of the forthcoming supernatural comedy movie MAN-WITCH, it has been reported.

Todd Phillip's movie is to centre on the predicament of a male witch who begins teaching at a female witch school, according to the Hollywood Reporter

The collaboration would have marked the first time the SCHOOL OF ROCK star had worked with Phillips, who wrote comedy hits such as BORAT and OLD SCHOOL, which he wrote, directed and produced.

It is thought that Black may have had a change of heart due to Phillip's favouring work on another comedy, HANGOVER, over his project.

However, the movie still remains in development, with Warners said to be considering a list of actors to replace the lead.

Warners confirmed his departure but would not elaborate further, while spokesmen for Black and Phillips also declined to comment.

Animated comedy KUNG FU PANDA, in which Black voices the lead character, recently went to the top of the US box office.
